We’re still around. Just waiting to get the season under way. That’s when I’ll begin posting live game updates. Patience.

I’ve always thought of myself as a superfan. Over the course of the last five years, I’ve missed maybe 12-15 games overall. I’ve spent more money on MLB extra innings than Paris Hilton spent on shoes. Detroit Tiger baseball is at times life consuming for me. Almost a detriment to my life, to be honest. I’m easily angered and I hate losing.

Not a good combination.

There’s nothing more I love than to sit at a pub and shoot the shit about baseball. Or watch a baseball game. Living in Illinois, I have to deal with pompous Cardinal fans, smelly White Sox fans and broken hearted Cubs fans. But baseball is baseball – and no, not all White Sox fans are smelly, It’s a joke. Calm down.

I hope you come to this site with one thing in mind. I’m not a paid writer. I used to be. Used to work for a local newspaper. To many politics and bible thumpers for me to really grow as a writer. I like beer, loud music and I grow my hair and beard long.

I’m going to attempt to blog live every game this season. We’ll see how long that lasts.
